Of course you could make them into whatever you want! Kristy is working on the most epic Lego Star Wars quilt and the paper pieced patterns are available for free in her Craftsy shop.
When she asked for testers I jumped in and snagged these two.
I happen to love Catwoman and I kept the stitching super simple:
I coloured her lips with a Sharpie (I know the new Lego figure has purple lips but in my mind Catwoman screams red) and added a bright border to the cushion:
After really easy and quick paper piecing, Yoda needed a bit more attention:
and some Sci-fi bling:
