First I'll just mention there's about 2 hours left to link up to the Fugly Fabric Party if anyone was thinking about it!! Link up and check out the fabric on offer HERE :)

One of the lovely linkers will be winning a Pezzy charm pack tomorrow! I so love having giveaways.

Ok with notices done I'll let you know what I got achieved this afternoon. Grandparents had the kids so I was off duty!

Firstly I finished off a tiny bit that I had left to do of my 7th Rose and Star block:

It feels very early 90s to me, not sure why! Still loving it though. I've already cut pieces (last night) for the next one and I'm using some new bits I got the other day, I'm in love! - so you can't confiscate them Katy ;)

On to the main event. I sewed and sewed. I finished my 'secret quilt' top! Hurrah!... except the bad news is that's only half of it - this will be a double sided job. That means all I can show you is this...

Yes the worlds worst sneaky peek! Sorry but the clue is in the current name.

I also managed to make the binding since I knew I wasn't going to make a lot of headway on the back of the quilt. I did this about 10 minutes before the kids came home. I wanted it done so couldn't be bothered marking diagonal lines on the fabric before sewing the strips (which I normally do) I just eyeballed it, and it's not bad!!

This beautiful DS fabric was sent to me by the wonderful and talented Kaelin of The Plaid Scottie after seeing her beautiful Sweet Caroline Quilt. I was sad we couldn't get it in the UK and she so graciously gave me what she had left! What a sweetheart!
I was going to go with Kona Charcoal to bind this quilt but it wasn't making my heart sing - this on the other hand totally does, so thank you Kaelin!

Hopefully I'll have a finish at some point so I can show you but there's still so much work to do...

Off for a drink with a very dear friend now so no sewing tonight, just a good girly gossip!

Oh and this is my 100th post! whoop whoop! Thanks for reading :)
