Yes. Over the past few evenings I have been doing some chain piecing and pinning and have FINALLY finished my retro flowers blocks.
It has been at the expense of me catching up on the HFWYG? QAL blocks but I needed to get something finished and since I've been at this longer I know it'll feel wonderful to have it quilted. I'm sure once I've struggled with putting this together and quilting it some nice blocks will be just the ticket!
I'm intending to do the most simple quilting I can do, straight lines, as I'm not sure I can cope with anything more vigorous.
Those blocks look beautiful. Can't wait to see them pieced together. Di x
ReplyDeleteDid you hear me take in my breathe when I saw these beauties!? My son did but was busy playing with the dog..
ReplyDeletethese are gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteGood for you Lucy. What an accomplishment. How many more weeks before Baby Charm arrives???
ReplyDeleteThese look amazing!
ReplyDeletePretty, oh so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLove them! Good for you. And I personally love straight line quilting both for it's ease and it's beauty, so if I could only straight-line quilt forever, I'd be happy...just saying...
ReplyDeleteyou CAN do this xx
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely! How do you make them?
ReplyDeleteThey're wonderful! I love the occasional 'odd' petal - what a clever idea!

ReplyDeleteLucy, these blocks are beautiful!! I love the fabrics - this is going to be a fabulous quilt. And I hear you about the quilting. I am never capable of anything taxing when it comes to the quilting part. I tried something taxing once this year and it's still undone months later...
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! (Gently now.....)
ReplyDeleteYay - the batting for mine arrived yesterday! I just need to piece the backing - how can such a great quilt pattern create such a feeling of lethargy!?
ReplyDeleteOoh these look just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with some good old straight line quilting - then it lets the blocks and fabrics really shine!
They're gorgeous! The DS fabrics goes so well with the background solid - what colour is that?
ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing the finished quilt - it'll be beautiful for sure!
These look fantastic, look forward to seeing them all sewn up
