fabric destash
I have decided to join in #thegreatfabricdestash but here on the blog because I'm still getting used to Instagram and not everyone uses it! I have some larger pieces, FQs and a couple of scrap bundles for sale.
Please leave me a comment letting me know which ones you want, first come first served! I will post anywhere, though please note that I am in the UK and you are responsible for postage costs (these will be calculated depending on the amount of fabric you buy). I will post by Royal Mail first class or International Standard. I will invoice you via Paypal so please leave me your Paypal email address like this: misssuchandsuch (at) wherever (dot) com in the comment and also let me know which country you live in. If I do not receive payment within 24hrs from sending the invoice I will contact the next person wanting the fabric.

I also have two scrap bundles, one warm and one cool. They are designer cotton fabrics and the pieces range in size but are all usable scraps:
Cool scrap bundle: largest piece approx 28 x 24" (with part cut out for something!), smallest 3.5 x 9". Some Denyse Schmidt, Pat Bravo, Oval Elements, Kokka and there's a bit of Liberty lawn in there too.
Warm scrap bundle: largest piece approx 36.5 x 6.5", also 16 x 12", smallest 4 x 4.5". Some Denyse Schmidt, Pat Bravo, Joel Dewberry, Riley Blake and Alison Glass.

custom reward chart (or how to help your child to behave!)
I finished a commission of a personalised reward chart for a friend whose daughter has been waking up in the night:
at Riddle and Whimsy
and finish it up friday at crazy mom quilts
I used lots of pretty girly fabrics, appliqued her name and made some felt stars with a pocket to keep them safe:
It is backed with home dec fabric and corners with a dowling rod to easily hang it up:
The feedback has been wonderful, her daughter has been asking to go to bed early and if she's up in the night to use the toilet she heads straight back to her own bed so that she can "get a pretty star"! This is the start of good sleeping habits and I know how much kids love things with their names on.
The chart can be used for any type of praise you want to give your child and since I made one for our children I can really vouch for the effectiveness. We starting using it in November 2012 and they still love being rewarded and sticking the badges on the chart, the novelty hasn't worn off!

I'm completely in love with this quilt.
From deciding to do something different (for me), to having fun piecing it and seeing the end result be so cool! I loved each block but even when I laid them out I didn't know if it worked. The grey eyelets from 'Flea Market Fancy' by Denyse Schmidt was the perfect choice for the rainbow blocks and, for me, the final touch that made me fall in love.
There's so many fun little fabric pieces in each colour block and my kids loved pointing them out!
The back is a Jay McCarroll print that I've used before, it's a nice vibrant blue with pink squares.
It is quilted in diagonal straight lines using Aurifil 50wt.
Gotta love the quilty goodness draped on the chair my Nan gave me (which I've re-cushioned and thought about recovering but I've grown to love the vintage shininess of it!).

I got my hands on some beautiful Liberty scraps.
All medium weight cotton and home dec fabrics not quilting cottons.
They would be stunning cushions, accents or little bags.
So I put them in the shop for you ;)
