I am thrilled to welcome Sew Hot as my newest sponsor. They are one of my favourite online shops, in part because of their amazing range of interfacing, notions and hardware, and (of course) the most gorgeous fabric collections. I don't know about you but when I'm ordering online I like to find shops that have everything I need. Sew Hot covers so many bases and also stocks Kona solids, Aurifil thread, Richard Hemming needles, Emmaline Bags hardware, Paper Pieces and much, much more.

Not only that but Sew Hot are now also open as a bricks and mortar shop and offer classes too! There are already awesome classes listed, with more to come ;)

A little about Sew Hot...

"Two women, two generations, two continents, one passion: to bring the newest and hottest trends and products to sewists and quilters in the UK and the EU.  With a modern sense for design and color, Rebecca and Pam have searched far and wide to gather this unique and eclectic assortment of products that you are sure to enjoy! Pam is located in California and handles the design side of the team. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art and loves painting and designing quilts. She has experimented in the past with spinning, weaving, hand dyeing wool and fabric, embroidery, and a variety of other crafts before settling on quilting as her passion. Look for her patterns released under the Hot Tea Designs label, coming soon to our site! Rebecca is in England and handles the shop side of the team. She has been quilting for 20 years after being taught initially by her mother, and then taught the more modern techniques by a friend at university. She has taught many people to quilt herself over the years and enjoys helping people discover the joy of working with fabric."

I'm going to start by showcasing a few of my fabric favourites from the shop and then a few others bits I love...

This is really a tiny sample of the fabrics at Sew Hot - honestly I could spend hours looking through all the ranges, they really have such a good variety of types of fabric, prints and collections from all the best companies.

Check out the Clubs too, a great way to build your fabric stash or keep a fresh supply of fabric or thread favourites coming your way!

If you haven't tried Kraft-Tex, this sample pack is a nice way to experiment with it. It  is paper fabric, initially it feels like card/ thick paper and then when you wash it, it feels like thin leather. You can stamp and draw on it - I used it to make my husband a wallet he really loves, high praise indeed!

Patterns (of all sorts) will inspire you to get creating, like this beautiful Calico Swing by Denyse Schmidt

or the very cool Closet Case Files patterns

And then there ALL THE THINGS... all those extra bits that make sewing possible or better or prettier!

Zips by the yard - a roll of zip tape, so useful; Aurifil thread in 12, 28, 40, 50wt (spools and cones) and 80wt, as well as their metallic Brillo and Aurifloss; Sashiko samplers and supplies; beautiful Gingher scissors.

They don't look so interesting (so I won't make a mosaic!) but I regularly visit the Interfacing/Fusibles/Vinyl section of the site because it is SO GOOD. Sew Hot have done an excellent job sourcing a wide variety of practical stabilisers and iron ons. Bookmark Sew Hot so that when you have a pattern that calls for a particular type of fusible or interfacing you know where to look. The shop has all the fabulous things you need to start creating and there is so much goodness that I would really encourage you to go and have a browse!

Sew Hot are kindly giving away one of their favourites, a Kona Rainbow Fat Quarter Bundle ðŸŒˆ 7 solids to create a rainbow of colour in your sewing room. The bundle is made up of Kona Red, Torch, Citrus, Sour Apple, Water, Deep Blue, and Dark Violet 🌈
