✱ FORTY giveaway! ✱
I was absolutely spoilt at work yesterday, it's my birthday this weekend and apparently turning 40 is kind of a big deal! There were banners, thoughtful songs, beautiful flowers, cards and gifts. I'm so lucky to work with a group of such nice and kind people. I arrived home to more gorgeous flowers, from wonderful John Scott and a hamper of really delicious Italian food from my friends at Patchfinders. I will be celebrating my milestone birthday this weekend with family and friends. I have lots of fun stuff lined up - getting my hair done, going out-out with my sister and best friends (hoping for a night of dancing!) and having a family brunch. In the moments in between I'm going to sew, or read, or walk or whatever I feel like because it's my party. I am super excited and totally have that good vibes birthday feeling.
I like to share joy. Thank you for all your support, for reading or following along with my quilting journey. I know you're a little sad you won't be coming out dancing with me but you can do a happy dance for this giveaway!

Last month my blog turned five! I can't believe how quickly that time has gone but I also feel like I have come such a long way. I genuinely love being part of this community, I have learnt so much, made true friends and feel lucky to have found my tribe. Sewing can be an isolating pastime and connecting through my blog / social media has really given me so much inspiration, encouragement and support.
As a thank you to all my lovely followers, I have a big box of delicious thread from Aurifil to giveaway!
The box contains 12 beautiful spools of 40wt Aurifil thread. This thread is perfect for machine quilting, embroidery or appliqué and can also be used for hand piecing.
The 'Big City' kit was designed in collaboration with the talented Sara Lawson. You get a range of pretty and bright colours:
