I can't believe I'm writing this again... I HATE WORD VERIFICATION!!!!!!

There are still so many blogs that use it and it just sucks. I am tired, I have very little free time - I DO NOT want to spend it trying to decipher stupid letters and numbers that are just horrid to read. I have decent eyesight and still struggle. It is also impossible to enter the nonsensical words when I'm trying to leave a comment using my phone. This has to stop. Why are google doing away with reader and not word verification??!!!

Only allow registered users to comment and/or moderate comments, that will stop spam. Word verification just stops people commenting that actually want to!!

Please, please, please people turn the horrible thing off! I am leaving comments and asking people to switch it off and then I will just stop commenting when I see it. END OF.

I'm going to try really hard to stop moaning and come back with something thoroughly happy next time!

To cheer myself up I bought some pretty tulips this morning. It also helps that the sun is shining despite the bitter cold.

After entering a bunch of giveaways over the past few days I was amazed how many people still have their word verification turned on. I have ranted about this before but maybe it's time for another little plea. When I could be bothered I pointed out to people that they had it on, some people may not realise (after all you don't generally comment on your own blog) and some people may not know there are great alternatives to word verification (i.e. switch off anonymous comments instead or approve comments to avoid spam). So help spread the word and stick this button on your blog:

I HATE word verification, abhor it. Truly hate it.

There's no need, Blogger has a great spam filter.

You can switch off anonymous comments or moderate your comments to stop spam!

I have just tried to enter those stupid words three times trying to comment. I've had enough!!

I am bombing people's blogs with requests to turn the thing off.

I know some people don't even realise it's on their blogs so if I ask you can you please, please, please turn it off!!

Lovely Claire wrote a post after I asked her to do exactly that and linked to this post that shows you how to turn it off!!

Please people, I need more time to read and sew!! ;)
