I am so excited because my Stitchy Pie pattern is now available for you to buy!
I have worked really hard to create a pattern with easy to follow instructions and a template so that you can enjoy making your own version.
This is my perfect needle case!
It is a nice size and folds up so you can easily store it; the construction and snap fastener make your needles secure so they won't fall out; the arrangement means you are less likely to get pricked by the needles and the whole thing looks adorable.
Stitchy Pie is completely customisable and the pattern provides you with ideas to make it totally unique.

You can fit a good amount of needles in it and best of all you can label the sections so you remember what the needles are for and where you put your favourite one!
It is suitable for storing hand or machine sewing needles. I would recommend taking machine needles out of the boxes and sticking them in the felt but small notions can fit in the little pockets too. You could also put non sewing related items in there - it would be perfect for storing earrings.

Stitchy Pie began as an embroidery sampler made into a needle case and I taught the pattern to some of my classes. The PDF pattern includes a list of the stitches used in the original Stitchy Pie but also allows you to create a simpler fabric version so you can bust some scraps, use your favourite print or even an orphan quilt block.
I had help from wonderful sewing friends who kindly proof read the pattern and made valuable suggestions for improvements and edits. Thank you all so much! ♡ The talented Nicky @ Mrs Sew and Sow tested the pattern and created this stunning patchwork version using Liberty fabrics:
Once you have made one or two for yourself, you can make some for your friends - a Stitchy Pie case is the perfect extra item to include for online swaps - and purchasing the pattern then allows you to make them to sell on a small, handmade scale.

Hi Lucy, I'm excited about this pattern but I'm afraid that the download failed. Can you help me?
I have sent you an email :)
Congratulations on your great pattern Lucy! I hope it's a success for you. (Mine's still on my cutting table I'm afraid; I had a bit of a family crisis that needed my complete attention....)
