It is half term here so I've been busy with the kiddos this week. We went to see my Nan in Chester and my Dad came too. He found this picture of me when I was little, we were on holiday in Malta:
I believe I contributed to the popularity of the onesie. I vividly remember doing this, those beautiful pastel coloured tissues! I also remember not being able to sleep and walking through the tiled corridor (which amazingly enough was hexies!!) to find my Nan, and her singing me to sleep. She remembers too, she told me she used to sing songs like 'Daisy, Daisy' and 'Chick Chick Chick Chick Chicken', which I sing to my kids :)
My lot had fun in the local playground:
This week I bought myself these stud earrings from jewellerybox.co.uk, they are really small and perfect for everyday:
They have this great Andralok closure, which means they are super comfortable and easy to put in. I like wearing big earrings sometimes but generally I just like earrings that will go with everything and I can forget about. I can sleep in these with no discomfort too. Bonus, they are made in Britain!
I have reached over 1,000 followers on Instagram so I am having a giveaway over there (sorry to those that don't have an Instagram account but I do plenty of giveaways here on my blog too!). I cut 60+ charm squares from my stash, a mix of modern, 30s, low volume and general gorgeousness. The giveaway is open internationally and ends 4th June. Head over to my Instagram and see the giveaway post to enter.

I love that picture of you when you were small! We were in Malta for a day. Loved visiting the walled city--that was super interesting. Pretty earrings. And lovely giveaway. I'm headed back over to IG. :)
Lovely photos and holiday memories! I'm glad you are enjoying half term :)
Such cute photos of you! That selection of fabrics almost tempted me over to IG. Congratulations on reaching 1000 followers.
You were such a cutie! It's amazing that you have such clear memories from that age!
lucky you, no matter how much wine if involved I can never sleep in earrings, make up yes but never earrings.
Enjoy the rest of half term
I'm guessing that playground was good fun! I love your earrings. I like having earrings that I can forget about when I go to bed too!
I love that photo of you! J looks like she's grown quite a lot in the last few months or is it just the angle the photo's taken at? Your new earrings are lovely, I'm going to see if they do some in silver (allergic to gold!) - I wear (several!) studs all the time and always sleep in them (too many to take out each night) but it might be time to get some new studs as I've worn my current pairs every day for at least six years... (Don't worry, I do clean them periodically!!)
Hi Lucy! What a cute photo of you! Great to see NEW earring style, looks beautiful and practical! Heading on to your give away - would love to win those beauties! x Teje
Whatever happened to coloured tissues?! Loving the earrings. I didn't enter your give away as I think if I won again I'd get lynched by everyone else :-)
Hi Lucy! I just wanted to tell you that I nominated you for the 'One Lovely Blog' award. Sorry, didn't find your email.
