I really am. That Yummy Lunchtime, Pop N Kids by Lecien fabric is the cutest print ever and is so perfect for the kitchen. I've been needing a new oven glove for a while (my old was was a disgrace) and it's been on my to sew list since I saw Adrianne's oven mitt tutorial last year. I love this tutorial, it's easy to follow and I much prefer this style to individual gloves - you can never find one of them!
Being honest I didn't follow it exactly, I had no A3 paper and kind of just wanted it done so I traced round my old one. I'm pretty sure the measurements are similar though. I also used yardage rather than FQs but the tutorial made that easy to do.
I quilted it in the same way because it was quick and easy and looks good. It also lets that sweet print shine. I used Petit Point in Navy, Petit Points by Michael Miller for the main fabric and Graph Check in Orange for the binding.
Then I took it outside and there was photobombing:

Now at least I will be smiling while I'm in the kitchen!

So cute!
Love it! My kitchen is in desperate need of new oven gloves... And hot pads... And placemats... Why do I have such difficulty finding time to make these small projects??? :-)
Cute glove and photobomber too :-)
I love it/them, but by the state of my Tesco gloves, I think I would be wasting good fabric after about 3 days of use!!
Your photobomber is the cutest! Great fabric combination in your oven glove: fun and smart at the same time! I need one myself...
Love the colours and fabric, Lucy!!! That would match my 70s kitchen perfectly, without being too orangey.
Cool oven glove!
How cute is your photo bomber?
Would you believe I had a request for an oven mit this weekend? I only hope mine will be as cute as yours!
The dimple!!!
