I immediately knew what my le challenge project this month would be when I saw the Christina Clutch tutorial on the Art Gallery Fabrics blog - it's inspiring.

So here's my Stripes and Dots clutch.

The dots are Dumb Dot in Navy by Michael Miller Fabrics and the stripes are Straws in Peachy from the Simpatico Collection by Michelle Engel Bencsko for Cloud 9. I utterly adore this combo. I used some Crosshatch in Grey from Architextures by Carolyn Friedlander on the inside and a gorgeous YKK chunky zip.

I think it is elegant and eclectic - just what I aspire to be!

Not so elegant is trying to take a shot of yourself holding a clutch bag. Cue many strange arm positions.
Also not so elegant is my (useful and practical) Casio watch, hence the change of hand in the picture above, and most of the pics came out looking like this one:

Now head on over to Le Challenge to see the other entries this month and link up your finished STRIPES project for a chance to win a $25 gift certificate to the Fat Quarter Shop and a copy of the Giant Chevron Quilt pattern by Jess at The Elven Garden!
