under control

I was starting to feel a bit swamped... not in a bad way but felt like I had a million projects on the go (I did and still do)... some of them are finished or nearing completion so I feel more in control of my work  in progress this week.

completed:

- Tetris Picnic Blanket

- Sailor Mouth swap goodies but I'm not going to show you until my secret partner has received them. Here's a peek ;)

ongoing:

- Scrappy? Sew Bee It! block for Carla, using this tutorial

- Retro Flower QAL - whoop whoop! One more block done, that's 4 all together and that's one row! Considering I enjoy sewing curves and I adore the fabrics I'm using I can't believe it's taking so long, although I know it's for us to use so there's no urgency. I bet loads of us do that, push things aside we're making for ourselves. It also requires pinning (not the website, actual pins in the blocks, something I try to avoid a lot of!!) ;)

- Rose Stars - I've already blogged about this one that I made this week and there's another one underway

no progress:

- Vintage Holiday QAL
- How Far Will You Go? QAL

not worried, I'll catch up this week :)

baby:

Having a scan today! Please keep us in your thoughts.

The little man started reception class this morning and was perfectly happy and excited to see his teachers and new classroom so that was great!

  9. Oh I know that swamped feeling! The good news is, you don't actually have to pin the curves, it's a cinch to do it pin free, all you need is a pair of tweezers, and Leanne, from She Can Quilt's tute (sorry, at work so can't grab the pinterest link for you here)

  15. You are doing great, you can count all your projects on your hands. Even with my toes included, I still can't count them all. Need more time in a day to get things finished.

  16. Alright, it's settled. I have a long term goal for next summer to have a picnic blanket. I just love this idea and have seen them here or there but didn't have it in me this summer - the key is to think about it during the winter for me, I think!
