I'm hoping to spend the rest of the day turning this embroidery (by Imagine Gnats) into a sewing bag, courtesy of this great tutorial
I couldn't wait to show you because I think the girl is pretty kick ass but the bag is on pause while I join the giveaway madness and offer you a chance to win!
Unfortunately I haven't had the time to make anything (try not to feel too disappointed!), so instead I'm giving away some yummy fabric
These are 3 fat quarters (actually they are slightly larger!) of Hex Box from Prince Charming by Tula Pink for Westminster/Free Spirit; Empire Weave from Heirloom by Joel Dewberry for Westminster/Free Spirit; and Daylight Urchin Forest from Marine by Dan Stiles for Birch Organic Fabrics.
I'm also including a few small(ish) scraps, yes there's some bits of Flea Market Fancy by Denyse Schmidt in there, as well as other lovelies.

I planted some stargazer lily bulbs and finished painting my mother's room today. That made me smile. Right now, though, my two youngest boys are playing nicely together, and THAT is making me smile too.
My brother sent me a video of my 1yr old niece playing with leaves in the yard - it was really cute.

My sister called me today to say she stopped by the fabric store and made a new friend who works there. We're holding a fundraiser for a lady at work that lost everything in a fire and after chatting, she is donating a basket for the raffle! It made me smile because there are really wonderful, caring people who go out of their way to help someone they don't even know.

Sadly, the only thing making me smile today is that it's Giveaway Day. I have to take my very old, sick dog to the vet this afternoon and I'm dreading bad news. Also, it's rainy and dreary so no outside play for the kiddos. :(
